The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth

I feel the pace of this novel is best described as languorous and meandering. As such, it took me a rather long time to read, because I felt I had to keep pushing myself back to it. At 480 pages, The Miseducation of Cameron Post is rather lengthy for a young adult novel. It isn't written in the style of most young adult contemporary novels, either. It reminded me more of adult "literature" with its pacing, environment, reflection, events, symbolism, and lack of consistent action.

Overall, I really enjoyed the messages and the story that Cameron Post had to offer. I just would have preferred they had been delivered in a more succinct manner.
