The blurb covers the material quite well. It was an unexpected pleasure to have brief Art Histories at the beginning of each section. The manual is unashamedly political and activist and anti-advertising. It reads quickly and easily and has the odd wry joke or two sprinkled in to keep you entertained and alert for subversive uses of irony. Illustrations, in pink and grey, are informative and witty. Just enough nudge to help you get out there and make art!

Reading in 2024, it is a bit dated now, but it amusing to see how the stories of some of the people he mentions (like Liz Truss, Nick Clegg) have played out.
The conclusion is probably the best bit. Parts almost read like a manifesto.
