This is my first book written by Fiona Davis. It definitely won’t be my last.
Marion is a young dancer in 1950s NYC. Her father wants her to be the stereotypical wife, mother, and homemaker. Marion wants so much more out of life. She wants to make her own decisions. Against her father, she auditions to become a Rockette. We follow Marion as she finds her own way in life. During this time she also finds herself mixed in with the investigation of a bomber who has been attacking various locations throughout NYC over the last 16 years.
I loved the mystery, the hints of romance, and the coming of age aspects of the plot. I will definitely be picking up more books by this author.

When Chloe Davis was 12 years old, six teenage girls went missing. Her own father admitted to the crimes and was imprisoned. Twenty years later, still dealing with her childhood trauma, Chloe is trying to move on and live her life. She works as a psychologist in her own practice in Baton Rouge and is planning her wedding to her near perfect boyfriend. Life seems to be going well until a string of missing girls are found dead, which soar to be very similar to the murders committed by her father twenty years earlier. Chloe finds herself spiraling, leaning heavily on her addiction to prescription meds. She begins her own investigation as the murders are eerily connected to her.
This is my second Stacy Willingham book. I didn’t love this one. It was predictable and while I enjoy an unreliable narrator, I’m kind of over those who have an addiction to some substance. It’s so overdone.
I recommend this book if you’re looking for a quick mystery/thriller read.
