Oh boy. This book. Wow. I was completely taken by surprise by how quickly it turned into a trainwreck. The first half was fine and enjoyable. And then it just went downhill. It felt like the author was trying to throw in as many conflicts as possible in the second half and it felt disjointed, unauthentic and too much. The only reason why I finished reading it was simply to see what bizarre element was going to be introduced and how all the threads would be pulled together at the end. I really wish I had not read this book. Thankfully, it was a quick read (for me) and only took a few hours of my time to get through.
