A nimble read. Not an epic read, by any means, but certainly not shallow. Deep, very satisfying, very rich tapestry of lore to keep you connected to the imaginary locations in very real ways. Definitely a series I will be continuing with.

For a futuristic scifi conspiracy thriller murder mystery, this wasn't too bad. I dislike Scalzi's convention of his main heroes being almost entirely infallible, but the pacing and engagement of this story overrode any qualms I had over the fairly flat and limited characters moving the action along.

Absolutely stellar novel! I've never sat and read a whole novel in one sitting before, but I did with this one. The story was completely engaging and the narrator voice was authentic and satisfying. So wonderful. Definitely picking up this author's next novel.
