This was a good, small addition to the ACOTAR series and the stories of the characters within. It was very short and I finished it within three days, so that was disappointing. This part of the story seems to work as a bridge to the next book, which I can’t wait to read. This book also swaps POVs quite frequently, allowing you to see things from the other characters’ sides of the story-how they felt, what they saw and thought. I enjoyed that aspect.

I read this book because my teenage daughter loved it so much. Her teacher is the author’s sister! It did not disappoint. There should be more hype about this book! It’s extremely well written and has a great, fully-developed plot!
What I am going to say about the story is this-be prepared! This book has so many turns and dips… you won’t know which way is up and which way is down! This book is about a high school girl with schizophrenia who struggles to decipher which parts of her everyday life are real and which are part of her paranoid schizophrenia diagnosis. She struggles with normal everyday teenage things, but also with knowing what is reality and trusting herself. The author does an amazing job of helping you experience things from Alex’s (the girl in question) point of view. She makes it feel real. It helps you feel as if you are experiencing things alongside Alex, which adds a touch of REALNESS and HUMANITY to such a devastating diagnosis.
