Damn.

Episode Thirteen, a horror novel based on 'found footage' is easily one of the most thrilling and interesting standalones out there.

The story starts with a crew of ghost hunters and paranormal investigators, namely, Matt, leader of the crew, Claire, Matt's wife and debunking expert, Jake, the techie, Jessica, the actor, and Kevin, ex-cop. They investigate Foundation House, which turns from a way to save the show's graces, to a descend into the rabbit hole of the knowledge that humanity hasn't discovered yet.

The author beautifully portrayed how Kevin, overcome by his guilt for shooting Jake, loses himself as he was originally intended to by the otherworldly entities we see.

Claire staring at the wall, looking at all the cursed knowledge about the universe, displays how humanity still has a lot to learn and there are things about the world we are not even aware about yet.

The book was really getting boring and slow-paced towards the starting, and then it immediately caught my interest with the house coming alive.

Overall, I would give Episode Thirteen four stars, and I would definitely like reading more of Craig's books.
