This was a really great volume. I loved getting to see some different sides to the newer characters. There were plenty of hints of troubles to come, some great action, and a major mix-up to the status quo.

Basically a volume of combat. I prefer when there's something more to it.

This collection is one step towards surrealism in a juxtaposition between humorous tone and serious subject matter sort of way.
If you like the lighter feeling and funny parts, this will be a book for you. There were moments I scoffed out loud at the humour, which is impressive for a book.

I DNF’d this book a few years ago finding it quite slow and dry, but I’ve flown through it this time and really enjoyed it.

This book is a simple premise. It opens with a change in the small town that boils and bubbles, building tension to a satisfying climax near the end.

Some interesting developments setting up a change of status quo for the future, but the volume itself was a little lacking in anything interesting beyond the visuals of a few good fights.
Felt like an inbetween, bridging volume.
