It's hard to put this book into words if I'm being honest. It gave me a similar feeling as reading The Giver by Lois Lowry does. I was absolutely floored by the ending. Definitely a thought provoking one

I wanted to like this book since I loved Gods of Jade and Shadow so much but this one definitely fell more flat for me. The middle really lagged. I almost DNF'd it. I did like the ending. I think the head jumping really made the narrative feel disjointed and while the world building was interesting, the characters were...not enough to hold it.
