this is the first book i've reread that's actually better the second time around. it's such a twisty, satisfying mystery and reading it for the second time made me appreciate clues and details i never noticed before. i loved the thing that pippa did with her project logs and the way the pov switched from first person to third person, which really added to the mystery aspect. and i also thought the racial aspect of the story was realistic and well developed, as a desi person.
pippa is such a lovable, relatable, realistic character, i love her so much. and her relationship with ravi is so sweet. it was amazing how ravi knew exactly how pippa felt at several points in the story, and actually thought about how his actions would affect her and what caused her to do certain things. i feel like a ya romance where the leads actually talk to and understand each other is so rare, but holly jackson delivered here. maybe it's because it's a mystery thriller and there was no need to drag out the romance, but regardless, pippa and ravi are such a wonderfully developed couple.
