"If there was such a thing as a platonic soulmate, then that’s what Danny was for me. I had no desire to change anything about my life."

Danny's a wolf shifter firefighter who's determined to never let anyone in. But he finds his match in Riley, and soon these two are attached at the hip. And though it's obvious to everyone but them, their feelings are anything but platonic. After years of video games and double dates, Danny's wolf starts to nudge him towards more and once that feeling is out of the box, nothing's going to put it back in.

"Riley had become my anchor. Losing him wouldn’t untether me. It would drown me."

I've been waiting for Danny's book since he was first introduced and it did not disappoint at all. Lark Taylor knows how to wring out all the emotions from her readers and I cried so much because Danny's story was so much more heartbreaking than I would've ever expected. And Riley has his own emotional trauma to deal with too. Seriously, these two have been through so much and I'm so glad they have each other now. Their love is so pure and bright and I love everything about them. I didn't think anything could come close to my love for Ferry and Leo, but Humility is right up there with Patience.

"Danny had been my favourite person in the world since I’d first met him. Getting his undivided attention was what I imagined Heaven to feel like."

Friends to lovers has never been my favorite because there's always a point where I get so frustrated that I just want to lock the characters together in a room so they can just talk things out. But I never felt that way with Danny and Riley. Even when they were being oblivious idiots or avoiding their feelings, the love and care they had for each other was so obvious. Even when they were hurt by or mad at the other, they're right by their side helping them deal with all the bad things that life throws at them.

"It was me and Riley against the world. The way it was always supposed to be. The way I’d wanted it to be since the night we’d met."

And their were quite a few bad things to deal with. Danny's past comes back to haunt them which leads to some heart pounding action and puts them in some life threatening danger. But it also introduces us to some amazing characters who I can't wait to read more about. Logan is already a favorite and I can just feel how angsty and emotionally damaging Finn's book is going to be. But I can't wait to read them. And until then, you should pick up this wolf/human, chosen mates romance and fall in love with Danny, Riley and their whole family of supes!

Opposites attract, pseudo professor/student romance!

“You’re my latest mistake in a whole slew of mistakes.”

Emmett and Ben have a habit of switching places, especially in the classroom. So when Em meets Ben's hot professor, Jonah, at his job, he knows he needs to keep his distance. But for the first time in months, someone sees him for him and he jumps on that attraction even if it's just for one night. But soon it's not just one night and all his secrets start to unravel and he needs to decide just what his priorities are and what he's going to fight to keep in his life.

"This professor might be my downfall, but instead of running away, all I want to do is chase after him."

Jonah and Em were really sweet together. I adored their interactions and how well they understood each other, even during their first real meeting. They just balanced each other out and though their journey was anything but easy, they earned their HEA and I'm so happy for them.

"I’m losing myself more and more each day, and the only time I get that sense of self again is when I’m here on the ice. I refuse to let anyone take that away from me."

Now onto the real main characters of this book, the chaos twins who just can't help but bring the drama wherever they go. What started out as a fun trick and maybe even a coping mechanism of sorts, turned into something else entirely. It was heartbreaking seeing just how lost and lonely Emmy was because of it. It almost had me hating Benny a little bit, but these two are very much a package deal. And their unwavering love, loyalty and support for each other is truly beautiful. Which is why no matter how many mistakes they make, these two remain completely lovable.

"I might have doubts, but I also know if I don’t throw everything I have at being with Emmett and doing what I want with life, then I’ve already failed."

This book might be about Emmett and Jonah, but it's also very much about Em and Ben. So even if you haven't read any of the other Dalton books, I'd recommend reading at least A Stealthy Situation before this because you'll appreciate the story more. And if you've read the others, then get ready for some major Dalton content. I love all of West and Asher's scenes, and though it hurts me to say this, Em might have replaced Asher as my favorite Dalton. But they're all amazing and you should read all their books and fall in love with them, just like I did!
