I would have never picked up this book if it wasn't gifted to me. It was an enjoyable read. V.E Schwab finds countless ways to say "life is worth it" throughout her book and she does so In a beautiful way. Addie is a lovable yet realistic character, so are the friends she tries to make along the way

This book has it all: violence, grief and abuse. But a beautiful love story is blooming beneath it all. The characters are human and imperfect and yet lovable(and hateable) the writing is vivid and truly transports you into the story. This book has truly touched me
