OKAY SO… I have some explaining to do, I know. First of all I’m sorry if you woke up one morning to all of the status updates on this book. (It was a lot.)
Second, yeah I’m in the minority for this book when I put a four stars. Let me start off by saying I totally get how most people don’t enjoy this book, and if I read this a few years from now I would probably say the same thing. This book was meant to just be a fluffy palette cleanser for me and I expected NOTHING that came out of this book.
Before starting this book, I saw a video on instagram reels (like many others), and was like “oh okay!” So then I needed a different book and pulled this one. I looked at zero reviews or any other video. I went in completely blind with my expectations for this book BELOW the floor.
Beginning:
Okay so this beginning is a part of the reason I never gave this book a five stars. Yes, this was kinda wattpad-y. BUT CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT HOW IT WAS RAINING 24/7 365 DAYS A YEAR 7 DAYS A WEEK!? Like WHERE DO YOU LIVE? I do also this the reintroduction to Tate was a bit fast and rushed, but for the length of this book I get it.
Middle:
This is where I started reading it for real and not as something to simply read. The plot started escalating a bit and my attention was held. Some suspicions were being held, by I was continuing to believe that what I thought was going to happen wasn’t going to happen. Some complaints: This middle part all felt very weird because it felt like the past timeline was when they loved each other for real but the present timeline was just lust.
THE ENDING:
I’m traumatized. Like I knew it was going to happen but I’m traumatized anyways. This ending really had me. I appreciated how some things that irked me throughout the book came to the fore and were handled with MATURITY.
Overall, I can definitely see how this book won’t be your cup of tea, but today it was mine. If you do decide to read it please look at the trigger warnings before hand!

A few of you maybe wondering why the heck I didn’t give this book a rating. Well my answer is quite simple: it is not right for me to rate someone’s life story.
I have always known about Madison Beer and thought she was gorgeous and a good songwriter, but reading this book felt so intimate and helped me see Madison in a whole new light.
In this book Madison talks about a lot of the struggles she faced growing up, in the music industry, and with herself. Because of this, I didn’t find it fair to rate a book because if I for some reason gave this three stars, it feels like I am saying that her life is worth three stars. Not that I would EVER rate this book that low, that’s what it would feel like.
Madison shares so much wisdom in this book and it spoke to me in a lot of way. I hope more people take recognition of this book because it has already uprooted my life a lot. Thank you Madison.
Love,
Eden.

wow wow wow wow! 4.75!! Though this was gonna just be a pallet cleanser but I absolutely ADORED this book!
Okie dokie artichoke-y! So before we get into this review, a little preface is needed:
I understand that there is some controversy over this book, but the way I read and judge my books is based off 1) my overall enjoyment 2) character and plot depth 3) the emotions I felt and 4) the overall point of the story.
I understand that there are a few things people do not agree with in this book, and I would have as well if the author meant it in that way. However, Jessa Hastings has made a statement saying that’s the “controversial” parts of this book was not her intention whatsoever and that she will be changing it immediately. Since it was not the authors intent, I have no reason to hold it over the books head as a reason to rate it lowly.
Now that that is out of the way… LETS REVIEW!

Overall:
Going into this book, I had high expectations because of Magnolia Parks. But at the same time I had no idea that I would have rated this book the way I did. This book made me cry (i’m sensitive

Originally I started this little series as a way to finish some quick reads… but WOW. These books are just the sweetest stories that I just ADORE, this book especially. Going into them, I expected to rate these books 3 stars but OBVIOUSLY that was not the case. Safe to say that if you have been looking for a sign to start these books, DO IT!
