نموذج رائع لأدب اللغوصة. لنجمع آلهة مصر القديمة ورموزها الفرعونية ونحمل المسابح والصلبان وأحجار الأماتيست ونتجه لزيارة آل البيت بعد شرب قنينتي نبيذ على صوت فريدي ميركوري، ثم نجلس سويًا لنقص عليكم شذرات حكاية مفككة عن بطلة نشأت بين عوالم متنافرة، واقتربت من لهب الحقيقة حتى كادت تحترق، ويظل فيها شيء لله ولديها كرامات العارفين، رغم المعاملة الوحشية التي تتلقاها من المجتمع الشرقي الغليظ ثقيل الظل، الذي يصمها في كل خطوة بأنها ساقطة. يا لها من مفاجأة.. قصة جديدة حقًا!
يعني قد بتنا نعلم جميعًا أن هذا الأدب العربي لا صاحب له. ولا بأس. هكذا ينبغي أن تسير الأمور لكي يتمكن الجميع من الكتابة دون حرج، لعلها تظهر أخيرًا الجواهر المخفية في المزابل. ولكن والله صرتُ أرثي لحالي وأنا أخوض في المزابل سنة بعد أخرى، أنتظر الجواهر ولا تأتي. ثم متى أصبحت سحر الموجي مدرسة أدبية قديمة، يحاكيها كتَّابٌ جُدد وتُهدى إليها أعمالهم؟ لا بد أنني عشتُ طويلاً.. ربما أطول من اللازم بقليل.
انجرفت مع العشم بالصفحات الأولى وانتظرت بقلب ساذج عبيط. عبيط والله قلبي ذاك المتعطش لأدب عربي جديد وجيّد.. انتظرت أسلوبًا جيدًا ولم يأتِ.. فانتظرت على الأقل قصة تثير اهتمامي فلم أجد سوى عناصر قتلها كتاب جيل الألفية سردًا حتى اهترأت.. وزاد الطين بلة ركاكة لغوية لا يجدي في تجاوزها عشمٌ ولا عبط.
كيف تتصدر كتبٌ كتلك أرفف المكتبات؟!
نجمة واحدة للإيجاز في الحكي. الحسنة الوحيدة لهذا العمل.

There once was an agonizingly long boring book, excessively littered with corny metaphors and overinterpretations of each simple and most insignificant literary element possible, and there once was not much actual myths, folk tales, or valuable insights on womanly attributes in different cultures and traditions.
The writing style is so unpleasant. It is not okay to keep rambling on about "seal women" and "Soul skins" and "Oceanic knowing" for over 50 long pages, that could've been simply saved by indicating that: humans.. need.. freakin.. mindful.. breaks! Seriously, what's wrong with the good old well put texts, especially when the concepts behind them are not that sophisticated?!
Still making up my mind whether it is the surprising number "the Life/Death/Life Nature" was unnecessarily shoved among the 580 pages, or the pathetically misquoted Quran verses and Sufi poems, that I most disliked about this bestselling award-winning piece of caca.
