It wasn't until the last act that the true nature of Paul and Julian's dynamic began to make sense, and the feeling of their increasingly frantic desperation to reach each other is visceral. A perfect depiction of teen angst at its absolute worst, the clearest way I can think to explain the reading experience of this book is to think of the narrative as just one long intrusive thought. Incredible.

The dialogue and character interactions were actually my favourite part and I loved getting to learn about Aurora and the spacer world as a whole. Daneel and Giskard's interactions with Baley were so much fun, and I was glad to see Gladia back to play a part in the narrative as well. This might just be one of my new favourite reads in a while.
