This is a beautifully executed story of Norse myths. It is told in the form of a bed time story for a child in the hospital. It really felt as comforting as intended.
The voice actors were incredible and the story hooked me in. It’s nice and short so I finished it in one sitting.
It’s a nice entry level story for those interested in the topic.

This is a book about teenage love. It’s sort of opposites attract and love that overcomes the worst odds.
I enjoyed the multiple perspectives of not only the main characters but also side characters to enrich the story further. This made the plot and characters feel a lot more real to me. It also educated me on topics within the book that were important to understand the context.
I found the book believable for the most part, there were a couple of things that didn’t seem like they would actually happen.
One in particular was the lawyer telling Daniel that Natasha was still going to be deported.
This sort of took me out of the story.
The reason for the lower rating is just because it’s not really a book for my age range anymore. As a teenager I would have ate this up.
Therefore, I’d recommend this to someone looking for a YA contemporary love novel.
It’s a lovely and heart wrenching story of love defying odds.

If I read this as a teenager it would be a five star. It just isn’t my sort of thing anymore but would recommend to someone looking for a sort of contemporary mystery (that’s the best way to describe it). Lovely coming of age story.

This book got my out of my reading slump. It was fast paced and the characters were lovely. I do understand why it’s not to everyone’s taste but I quite enjoyed it.
The main issue for me was that there were just too many characters, it got a bit tricky to keep up with them all. The main characters, however, kept me coming back for more.
There were funny moments and the more serious moments were handled delicately.
I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a cozy mystery.
