oh my god. i don't normally read horror or thriller and now i see why. yeah this book is gruesome on another level. it's basically The Hunger Games on steroids. honestly, these were the only three emotions i had during the entirety of reading this book:

i will say that personally, i really didn't like the writing. good thing the plot was so interesting because the writing did get a little distracting at times. there were a lot of unnecessary exclamation points. other than that, don't read this book if you're planning on eating, sleeping super well, or would appreciate your heart rate staying at a steady pace.
