The ending, I don't know it was kinda rushed...? I'm not really invested to the plot of this book. Its pretty boring
If you are going to read this book and expecting enemies to lovers, this is kind of a slow-burn romance and they were kinda friends in the beginning.

Okay I don't know where to start. This is the first book that ever made me cry. I just don't know how to explain.
First of all, I love the writing. I love the plot, the characters, the setting of the story.
This book comes up with a journalist named Monique who is going to interview Evelyn Hugo, a famous actress from the 50s.
Evelyn's story tackles about her 7 husbands and let me tell you each one of them was so devastating. The fact that every page everything goes downhill for Evelyn.
I knew what was going to happen to the end but I still cried.
I highly recommend this book if you want an emotional historical fiction that is a about a famous actress in the 50s.

Ms. Roshani Chokshi's writing is immaculate.
What I love about this book is charaters, each one of them is special. This is not your typical found family trope with heist.
A lot of people compare this book to Six of Crows, but the two is different.
The world is set in Paris, has a magic system. I also love the banter between the characters it just makes everything in balance.
My new favorite book this year would be this one. Go read it if you love fantasy, found family, heist. Enjoy reading!
