Doesn't matter what issue I have with L.B. writing this women knows how to end a series

Following those 6 (actually 7) silly idiots on their second adventure felt amazing but definitely has a few tiny problems
At some points the pacing is very rushed, certain character arcs have been kind of dismissed to fit this story better and some minor things have been (somewhat) poorly implemented to fill character's individual stories
(Additionally there are many instances in which a character says something with an obv meaning behind it and it's followed up by them internally saying what it directly means which just feels lazy? Or at least undermines the readers capability of reading and understanding the characters relationship with each other? The first book was more subtle regarding this)

'Crooked kingdom' came out roughly a year after 'Six of Crows' and I wish the author and her team would have waited just another month or two to sew the story a bit more seamlessly together but I'll definitely reread the series at some point to meet my lovely crows again

The simplicity of it is definitely a bonus especially the last pages which give the fundamental recipes for specific kinds of breads or base soups are wonderful
The recipes itself range from great to too simple
There are many ghibli studio films and I would wish that recipes sich as jam biscuits are replaced by smth else but even the simplest recipes have tips attached to them which can elevate them
(I'm not fan of most of the pictures though)

Might have given it a slightly lower rating on another day but this book is simply phenomenal
(What most Alice horror retellings wish they were like)

It's tender and simultaneously brutal displaying many emotions I fundamentally connect with

I have never understood the whole thing that people wish they could experience smth for the first time but I finally get it
Take me back and let my blemished self cry pitifully

Too long for one book but the first half is too uninteresting (and somewhat sometimes badly written) to be split into two books
*dropped*

Ist es schwer zu lesen? 100%
Macht manches nicht viel Sinn ohne historischen Kontext? 100%

Another book with below meh writing idk I don't have high tolerance for it rn
I watched the first episode of the show in hopes it would make me more interested (finished the chapters relevant for the first ep) but the episode is somehow worse so that's another drop sorrrry

The writing style is inconsistent (and just weird at a few points) and 30 pages in I predicted pretty much everything that's going to/will happen

I thought about about dropping this book for 2 days and finally decided when I read only a few reviews almost every one that is in the 3-4 stars range says it picks up after the first half of the book
I'm sorry but I'm not going to read 250 pages to then have the chance to enjoy it

I'm sure the author put a lot of effort into this book but ultimately I wish this would have gone through on last editorial check

Anyone below the age of 16 might enjoy this or someone new to ya phantasy
In the end queer folk are desperate for queer media and I get that but we need to expect more
