Strong addition to the Inspector Gamache series! So much mystery and so much to uncover. I really loved a few ideas the book shared. We also learn more about Armande’s past and Peter Morrows past. I suggest reading the other books first so you know the characters and can better grasp the story.

I have often struggled with my feelings throughout my life. Not knowing what to do with them or how to handle them well. This book has been so impactful. I love Jennie’s writing and her books, this one is one of her best.
She helps you to understand your emotions and to learn what to do with them. Her book offers actionable steps and also space to admit that nothing is that straightforward and life can be messy.
I highly suggest this book!

So fun! It’s got travel, dragons, surprises. Lady Trent is smart, witty, and an enjoyable character. Plus the dragons are unique and interesting. This book also has entire cultures to discover.

This is a hard and sad book to read. But the characters and the town of Three Pines are still lovable.
