For some reason I didn't expect to love this as much as the cambric creek series but I was wrong. It was fun and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

This was simply a well done, solid YA fantasy book. The setting was perfection and the characters just felt so real. I can't wait to see where this series goes

Overall I enjoyed this final installment a lot and I feel very satisfied by how it ended. Though I didn't like this one quite as much as the other two.
This book really hits the ground running and is basically nonstop action. It felt much more action and plot focused than the other two books so the character development was more tell than show.

As usual I'm in love with cambric creek and the world in which it resides. I adored Ladybug as a main character but I would have liked to see more interactions between her and Anzan pre heat. I also still have questions about Anzan

I was not prepared for this to end on a cliffhanger and that's what dropped it down a star. I loved where this story was going so much but honestly it just felt incomplete.
I loved all the characters and the setting was perfect I just needed so much more.
