This book was alright and an easy/fast read. But this is probably the worst Ana Huang book I’ve read. There wasn’t much of a plot besides forbidden love and the CEO vote, so the book was very character driven. And don’t get me wrong, I love Isabella and I love Kai, but I just didn’t feel the chemistry between them, especially compared to other Ana Huang couples. It was an alright read, though.

THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD

this is one of my new favorite rom-coms. read this so fast and was so interested the entire time. it was so easy to read even though it was written in third person. one thing i wish the book had was the POV of Adam because i want to know what this dude was thinking the entire time😩 i will constantly be thinking about this book for the next few months probably.

GUYS GO READ THIS RN

okay so the reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the first 20-25% of the book just felt like a whole lot of exposition and it didn’t feel like any plot was going on. but after that part, it really started picking up and OML. the tension. the banter. the dragons. 👩🏻‍🍳😚

there is a scene where the mmc goes through a battle to win the fmc’s hand and now i will never settle for anything less.
