Dead Folk by Katherine Silva
4.0
The follow up book to Undead Folk. This is an ARC that was given to me in exchange for a review.
Oh, how I have missed some of these characters! This second installment definitely has a darker, grittier story that is jam packed with action, characters, and tough decisions to be made. In this book, Janet is an absolute force to be reckoned with. She is tough, driven, agile, deadly, and yet there is a vulnerability that is still accessible. She is on a mission and I cannot wait to see what’s next. A very nice second installment that, yet again, made me want MORE! Both books in this series are highly recommended for fans of grief horror with a massive dose of vengeance.

Valhalla Boys: Marine Recon Sniper in Iraq by Brennan Morton

I was thrilled to having been able to read an early manuscript of this book. The author drops you in the narrative as you are with him side by side experiencing his journey. The realness of Brennan’s experiences, his humor, and his insight, keeps the reader turning pages. I don’t read books like this, but I absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the official release in January 2025! Preordering!

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Great story from a unique perspective. No tears shed, but it was a very touching story.
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Ok. I picked this book up at least 3 times before finally committing to finishing it. I thought it was good, but not great. I think the screen adaptation (at least from the previews) will be well done.
