While this book kept me entertained it all felt sort of meh for me. Towards the end it just felt like a basic, cheesy highshool-set romcom which i suppose thats what it is so i cant complain. Major Mean Girls vibes for half of the book and Highschool Musical vibes for the end, i would basically describe it as Mean Girls x Highschool Musical but make it sapphic.

This book had all the good tropes, enemies to lovers, fake dating, and even the one bed trope. However, i feel like it couldve been executed better, there wasnt enough pining through the fake dating and enemies to lovers bit it was just as soon as feelings were caught they confessed.

The main character, Scottie, was a bit too immature, and thats coming from someone in the age range the book is meant for. I hated her for a good while though she got better towards the end for sure.

Irene was extremely well-written in my opinion. Shes more well-written than Scottie despite just being the love interest, her character was way more entertaining

I dont really get Tally's character either, im not sure if she was good or bad or in the middle? There wasnt enough to feel any attachment towards her as a character. In fact, the only characters i liked where Daphne, Honey-Belle, Irene, and Danielle.

Highly suggest this book if you're going through a break up or just finished up one, ive never been through that bad of a break up (and dont plan to) so i couldnt relate to much of it (and i hope i never do). Also maybe shouldve read this during the christmas season.

ok so first of all, do not expect it to be anything like the movie because it isnt, which isnt a bad thing!

the story was a bit hard to follow sometimes as well but that could be me spacing out a bit too much. however, i didnt personally like how
howls family was included it just made things really complicated. im still not sure if that was time travel or if the world was more advanced than i thought ?? since the porthaven and kingsbury didnt have computers or modern day cars but wales did?

this part is also just me but howl and sophie didnt seem as romantic as i expected? the only romantic bit was on the last few pages which i dont mind but didnt expect per say.

but, in all, id say this was a pretty fun read!! definitely suggest it to anyone who plans to read it.

I didnt expect this to handle such heavy topics?? but it did it in such a good way (obviously since its a memior) everything felt real. Just imagining someone going through all of that is very suprising.

The novel follows Walden (or Tillie) as she gains and then loses passion for ice-skating. It starts with her moving from new jersey to texas and having to adjust to everything there, which i think can be very relatable to people who have had to move throughout school.

I went into this not knowing much about it or that it was a true story so the entire story was really captivating and suprising. I dont see how someone couldnt like this book to be honest.

the book follows sebestian, a prince who happens to like wearing dresses and eventually finding the perfect seamtress to style his dresses for him.

this book absolutely defies gender norms by having not only the main character but multiple other men (varying in body sizes, example: a buff guys wears a dress at the end). the romance aspect of this was so adorable too?? it reminded me of childhood fairytales.

i think itd be a very good read for someone going through a gender crisis or just someone wanting to defy gender norms, or really anyone who knows someone going through something similar.

very cute romance wise but a little bit too much politics for me, shouldve expected that though.
the ending also just didn't feel like an ending? im not sure how to describe that but overall good book, I'd reccomend as a gateway for reading more queer books.
