I am giving this book a lower rating not because i didn’t enjoy it,m but because there was this strange sense of internalised misogyny in it. especially the scene where veronica complains she has to speak with the women and „longs to be with the men“ really rubbed me the wrong way - i mean this series is usually pretty feminist, why does stoker have such weird thjngs to say about women all of a sudden?!
not enough havers!!!! deborah annoys me!!! but still excellent writing as always with elizabeth george. again like in the previous lynleys i felt like some britishisms were used wrong or aren’t used at all which always rips me out of the book and reminds me that george is american i gotta be honest!
