I usually do not enjoy biographies or memoirs. I usually steer clear of them because of the stuffiness and bore. However, I knew I had to read this one and I am so glad I did! The reviews and high ratings accurately reflect this book. Jenette wrote in such a way that made me feel like I could truly picture everything happening. I cried. I laughed. I felt all of the feelings. This was was so brave and raw. I wish more people expressed their stories as true as Jenette did. It can be really difficult to share the bad and the ugly about your life. She did it with grace and I am cheering her on!!

This was good!! Definitely not her BEST book but I still fell in love with the characters and the whole journey they endured. A sweet read that could 100% be a lifetime movie!

I’m conflicted. I liked the ending but truthfully some of Hoover’s books are so…immature. That’s a good way to describe it. Sometimes I feel like I’m reading a love story written by an 8th grader. I can understand some of the whole great love story aspect but sometimes it’s very far fetched.

This was SO GOOOOOD! I truly didn’t see any of this coming. I don’t know if I’m just rusty or what but I was thrown for so many loops and was shocked by them all! One of her best books!

The big twist I had heard about was bigger than I could have imagined! Woah! I am still reeling from this one. Such a good book - if you’re a thriller lover you’ll love this one!

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F&@$?!? This book was so good. Sometimes I did feel like the parts between the pine cottage chapters were long and boring, it was WELL worth getting to that ending. So good!!!!!

I looooooved this book! So damn scary at times. I feel like Alaina’s experience and knowledge on the subject really gave her an edge. I’m mad that he didn’t die in the end because I now feel like he’s forever haunting us. But I’ll be eager to read a second book now!

I will say that the ending is a little hard for me to believe but don’t we all love a WTF moment in a book? I don’t know - for a first shot at writing I felt like she did a great job!
