Okay not great. It's a book a lot more about divorce than romance.

not enough of them being together, a couple of dinners and just an epilogue really.   It made it less of a romance and more of a just general fiction book

Yeah I cried. What a beautiful exploration of love.

This was a challenging read for me. It's well written but uncomfortable.

I wanted better for all the characters and they never wanted that for themselves. Or they couldn't achieve that for themselves.

Classic Jill Shalvis. Sassy lead woman and grumpy love interest. They both work over their issues and get together. Normally a formula I eat right up...

But I think it was tainted for me by the current political situation in the US. Some aspects felt like they were leaning too hard into "traditional values". It wasn't heavy handed or anything like that, but comments about "typical male behavior" strike with a different tone for me right now.

Also some of the "gen z" slang for the PR stuff was a little cringe-y.

A+ premise. And Everett was by far the best character. The goats were a close second though.

I did think how the story line with her dad wrapped up was kind of weak. Too much build up for how anti climatic that ended.
