I wrote the following for an English assignment so ignore how weirdly formal it is.

OH MY GOD THIS BOOK. I don’t even know what to think anymore. The roller coaster of emotions I’ve been through in the past hour or two is gonna be detrimental to my health for sure. This entire book will leave an impression on me for a while, ESPECIALLY THE ENDING AHHH.
The way Marion leaves after completing her confessions, and moving to the city Julia lives in is such a fitting ending, yet it completely blindsided me… And her leaving means that Tom and Patrick finally have their wish of living together, and being the couple they should’ve been from the start. But the ending leaves a sad reality; Patrick’s health is quickly deteriorating, you realize that they’ve run out of time, they were forced to lose each other for years, and then finally find each other, but they’re old and sickly now. I do like the contrast between a new beginning and an ending though.
I think I’ll think more about how my actions will affect people after reading this book.

This book was... Incredible. I almost makes me want to forgive Hamnet’s dad for writing Macbeth
Also the way I desperately clung onto the last pages of this book 😭 embarrassing...
