Unspeakable Things by Jess Lourey

spoiler alert!!
Okay this was just not a good book for me. It didn’t need 58 chapters to tell the story. Also the ending leaves you with way too many questions.
Cassie is 12 and her sister sephie is 15 I think and they live on a farm with their alcoholic dad and their mother. Through out the whole book they hint at the father being a molester and is molesting her sister sephie but that is never fully made clear. Cassie sleeps in her closet or under her bed because she is afraid of her dad coming upstairs and late at night she can hear him clipping his nails and then he attempts to go upstairs to where the girls sleep but he never makes it up stairs.
Their mother never listens to Cassie when she voices her fear of her drunk father and always goes to defend him no matter what. They throw these parties but they are actually orgies and the mother sometimes doesn’t enjoy them but sometimes she does? It’s all very confusing.
The town has a predator who is kidnapping and raping the boys who live in the hallows (basically the bad part of town) no one believes them and the cops think they are just saying it to get attention or maybe they were experimenting together and something bad happens.
I’m not sure how this book has anything to do with Jacob Wetterling at all.
Reading this book was a waste of my time.
