Super cute cheesy romance, lots of funny lines. Very easy read. The set up of the book was so good it made the ending feel rushed.

Really great book, would love to read again and annotate it. There’s so much to this book, you can’t possibly notice everything in the first read. I also love the embedded narrative.

The whole book can be summarized to “being a mom is hard and scary but god protects and provides”

This book is wild. The blurb on the back sounds like a Hallmark romcom and never even hints to the several graphic DV and r*pe scenes included. The book can’t decide if it’s cnc smut or a book educating against domestic abuse.  Either of these books could be good on there own, but together it creates a horrific tone switch.

This book is awful. The author takes no care when writing about such sensitive topics. Every traumatic event and backstory is used for shock value. The story is also difficult to get immersed in because there are several time jumps. Some of the time jumps happened within the same paragraph, with no mention to the time. In fact, throughout the entire book we never get information on what year it is or how old our main characters are.

I really hope this was written by  Britney. I think it was, there’s portions that feel so real and raw and emotional. I only wish we got more. Several incidents are glossed over or not even mentioned. Did someone say they couldn’t be in the book? Or did she just choose to leave things out?

Id recommend this to anyone, it’s told with lots of heart and you can tell the author but their all in it. It is also very well researched, listing several facts and statistics throughout. I loved the book but I was left wanting more. The story didn’t feel over and some parts felt rushed. </spoilers>
We spent so much time with married Brenda, I wanted more time with post divorce Brenda. And with her realizations about purity culture and it’s harm.
