This is an amazing story made up of multiple generations’ stories. It makes you reflect that everyone around you has a background and story, and the only way to remember them is to ask.

The third story brought everything home for me. I was confused by the first story since it didn’t seem to have a moral (at e I missed something?) or clean ending. The artwork is super unique and I love the use of color and expressive lineart.

As someone who grew up on Mythbusters, binged it in 2020, and has kept up with Adam Savage’s Tested, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It perfectly blends storytelling, practical tips, and deeper conversations into one cohesive conversation. I love that he starts off with “everyone is a maker - whether you’re a builder, chef, seamstress or artist” because it opens up the rest of what he has to say to everyone - not just model makers. I’m so happy to have listened to it first, but now I want to buy a physical copy, read it again, and mark up all my favorite parts!
