Solid read. Still lots of unrevealed secrets and information. Also lots of things I did not anticipate. My lil feelings were all over the place. Bc what the entire eff!!!??? And that ending was wild. Didn’t cry with this book like I did with B4 but still a solid read.

This book was so good! Very well written. It read like I was watching a movie. Very detailed and it was like I could see every single detail. The characters were written and developed well. I liked all of them for the most part, except for Lois. Horror is typically not my genre but I decided to try something new and I’m glad I did. I only wish the book was longer but Mr. Guillory was clear and to the point and I’m appreciative of that. All in all this book was GOOD!!!!!!

I found this book on TikTok and figured I’d give it a chance seeing as though it’s not my typical type of read. The story is good, but I felt like it was too similar to the little mermaid. Instead of following a black mermaid princess with loc’d hair who is obsessed with going to the surface and finds her mate in human form and a deceased mother, we get a merman prince with loc’d hair who too, is also obsessed with going to the surface and finds his mate in a human and has a deceased mom. But with all that being said, the story is good, it’s just very similar to that, but in an adult version. Very adult. I chuckled. every time I saw the word rock, but with the letter C to describe his member, if you catch my drift. I did, however, like the characters. But my main reasoning for giving this book 3.5 stars instead of a full four stars is because I felt like the ending was very rushed. This book is a part of a series and I’m honestly not sure if I want to read any more books in this series because where do we go from here like where does the story go? But it was a cute, quick read to pass the time.

Storyline was very farfetched and unrealistic. This was my first time reading this author and I can say wholeheartedly that it is my last. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone I liked. Glad I got this thru ku and I didn't to waste my money.

This book was beautiful! Absolutely beautiful. Sometimes love can come out of a dark place like grief. But not a trauma bond type of love. A true, genuine, from the deepest depths of your soul, one of a kind love. And that's what I felt even as a reader. The love poured off of the pages. I loved Benz and Daun and how they loved and cared for Busy and Tyler. A true unconditional, parental love even though they weren't biologically their children. I even loved the dogs 😂 I loved their story and how they came to be. Shout out to the universe and Arli and Travis 😉. I loved the community, family, love and care of Pepper. Makes me want to get a "P" tattoo and I ain't even from Pepper. Now to my real favorite.... Oak! My Oaky Pokey....he is amazing! Every time he graced a page my heart smiled. I loved how he loved and how his family loved him. He was a beautiful, well written character and I love to see it. I don't want to give too much away bc I want everybody to read this book bc it was just beautiful. A beautiful love that grew from grief. And I loved the incorporation of lemons honestly. Lemons symbolize love, light, they cleanse, detoxify and have healing properties. All traits that Benz and even Oak carried. Maybe that’s why they were drawn to each other and had the beautiful friendship that they did. And also probably why Daun was so drawn into her as well. He saw this qualities and his mind & body knew he needed to cleanse, detox and heal.

Loved this story and the characters. This is a new to me author and I'm sure it won't be the last time I read one of her books. Liked the overall growth of all the characters.
Always good to see that. It was a sweet lil hood love story with ups and downs. Had a few typos and grammatical errors but nothing to make me want to take my rating down. I knew what she meant 😂

What a beautiful story. I mean so beautifully written. I loved Synovi and Torin and their overall character development. Just watching (reading) them grow warmed my heart. Honestly I've read books that were put in the romance category and they aren't romance. They're dysfunction, cheating, violence etc. Idk what yall are used to but that aint love, beloved. This book was a true blue romance. I know I keep saying it but it was beautiful to watch (read) Synovi and Torin grow individually and together. I absolutely loved this book. And another thing I love me a good standalone. Give me a beginning, a middle and an end and I'm 1 happy camper.
