Loved it. Couldn’t put it down.

Contagion and virus spread isn’t my usual preferred trope but this was really well done.
Would have enjoyed to see even more inside the mind of Shelley. Complex characters and a compelling story.

SPOILER WARNING

I enjoyed this as it was an easy read in between more hard hitting books.
However, there were a number of plot holes that seemed far fetched and just set things up too nicely.
This is especially in reference to people not recognising each other - there’s just no way on earth that Shane’s mother wouldn’t be ingrained in Brooke’s mind - she would have been at the trial and even in press coverage. Also, Pamela loves her son more than anything so I can’t believe that she would have just let him rot in prison when she was responsible too - she would have just come forward and said it was her, gave details that only a killer could know etc… not wait 10 years to see a random company in a completely different state post on Facebook - too far fetched.

That said, it was a page turner and kept me interested hence the three stars!

DID NOT FINISH

I had to DNF as was too sci-fi for me!

I read this as part of a book club and honestly wanted to DNF the whole time. Aliens, mutant spiders, rape, time travel, body travel - there was around 20 stories all at the same time and they didn’t link together at all. The book had so many typos and sentences that didn’t make sense. Also the writing style felt very juvenile - not for me I’m afraid.

Couldn't put it down - hated every single character as I imagine you're supposed to.
I could have even done another 10 chapters of the flip flopping between blame and would have still ate it up! Addictive and well written

Thought I had it figured out at the beginning… I didn’t. Really good twist but definitely some plot holes
