It’s guts me to rate a sapphic romance this low, but I truly did not enjoy this. This book had SO much potential. Sapphic demon making a bargain with a woman trying to win back her shitty ex sounds messy and fun. And you know what, it was messy, but fun it was not. Because Sam spent more than two thirds of this book pining after her ex, who was a really terrible person, and honestly who wants to read that??
Like yes she does end up with the hot demon in the end, but the severe lack of tension, banter, & sexual chemistry between them made that ending more than lackluster for me. Overall, a disappointing read. Especially for how hot this cover is!!
*I received an arc from the publisher in exchange for my honest review*

“It was a rough time, but I've told some of the gurls, "I know you aren't all going to understand this being so young, but you can be in the deepest, darkest fuckin' hole, and something can make you smile, or laugh." And the thing is to appreciate those things.”
Miss Major is a living legend and a true revolutionary, and this book is just utterly phenomenal & left me with a renewed sense of hope and a desire to keep fighting. I devoured this book and honestly think I’ll reread it and annotate it, because WOW.
“I mean, you always have to challenge the status quo, or things won't change. And so it can be something simple. It doesn't always require that you put yourself in harm's way.”

Absolutely beautiful story that spans years and really details the complexities of leaving an abusive marriage while also weaving in what true, enduring, love is like. My heart was wrenching the entire time for Emily, but her love with Gen was so phenomenal it had me in tears as I was finishing the book. Please read it!! It’s easily a top favorite of mine now.
