This was my first ever time traveller's romance and I wasn't sure what to expect, but WOW. This book blew me away! I was totally invested from the very beginning and literally could not put this book down. My main worry was that I have watched Outlander and was concerned that the plot would be too similar but I was completely wrong. Although both based around time travel, the plots could not be anymore different!

This would have been a 5 star read for me if it weren't for the punctuation and spelling errors. By the end of this book, I felt like the editor got lazy or something becasue there were MANY errors. One of my biggest pet peeves is multiple errors in books so I had to knock the rating down to a 4 star. But even with the errors, this was a STUNNING book! So don't let that deter you.

I don't want to give any spoilers but let's just say THE PLOT TWIST TOOK ME OUT. I had NO IDEA. I love when author's can totally surprise me and Calia definitely did that with this book. Just make sure to have book 2 on hand becasue there is a cliff hanger at the end and you'll be dying to know what happens next! :)

I just want to start this off by saying I RARELY GIVE OUT 5 STAR REVIEWS. BUT THIS WAS A 5 STAR READ FOR ME. IT WAS STUNNING. This had all my favourite things including GREEK MYTHOLOGY, love stories, and you're actually learning about history at the same time? Unreal.

I think my favourite genre is historical fantasy, aka historical fiction with a magical component, and this book definitely falls into that category. Julie made learning about World War 1 so interesting, and I loved that we got to see the story unfold through the eyes of different Greek Gods.

The writing and plot was absolutely stunning and you will cry, but it's not the kind of book that will absolutely destroy you either. The ending was so satisfying and I think everyone should read this book once in their life! GO READ IT RIGHT NOW :)
