I love the way she introduces her story and how she tells us about her raw upbringing. I relate to her tense relationship with her mother whilst loving her tremendously. It was beautiful and I admire how vulnerable she was. I'm so excited to check out her music!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.
I was listening to the audiobook and it was just too long. I loved listening to it and it was very informative about how being a WOC in publishing is and it gave me a new perspective. I loved it but I just have other books I want to get to.
