omg i started this as an audiobook but i got waaaay too hooked and switched bc i needed to read it faster 

this was honestly just what i needed and as someone who has barely read thriller and is starting to read a lot again in general it was such a perf read bc it was saur easy to follow along and v fast-paced. 

also this author and her love for love triangles dear lord 🙄 i alr know cassie is nawt gonna end up with who i want (just like in thg series </3) but im still holding out hope 🤞🏼

i absolutely loveeeeeed the beginning and the banter between the two but idk i think maybe bc it was my first audiobook after over a year it just felt so slow to me (even tho this book is not long by any means) it just took me out of it and so i think i would have enjoyed it much more if i read a physical copy

ok ive calmed down a bit lmfaoo i still loved it but there were kinda a lot of plot holes and loike the whole reasoning behind what happens

with the resistance just seemed so weak and didnt make sense to me? like ur plan already failed once at the ball loike u should be more prepared if u wanna make a spectacle at the final trial at the bowl??

so yuh changing from 4.5 to 4.25 stars after some clarity lmfaoo

first of all tho this does nawt feel like a debut book at all omg (in a good way) like i love the writing and esp the dialogue :’) but my god it was saur obvi that they both liked it each other and it just dragged on that it got kinda annoying (like esp in the endish when they’re in vancouver i kept rolling my eyes ngl) but it was still coot and the fact he held onto the earring loike i totally forgot about that and then bam in the end i got so emotional over it ugh why cant i have a bf who does coot shit like this 😭
(extra .25 stars bc punjabi rep ftw hehehe ALSO OMG THAT REMINDS ME OF THE JHUMKA SCENE AND I LITERALLY HAD TO PAUSE READING TO GO LISTEN TO THAT WHAT JHUMKA SONG AHHH)

also yuh this was kinda similar to icebreaker and as someone who enjoyed that i loved this sm more omg esp bc there were sooo many microtropes in here that im obsessed with

(LIKE AIDEN PULLING OUT HER HAIR TIE WHEN SUMMER HAD A HEADACHE AND THEN KEEPING SAID HAIR TIE ON HIS WRIST FOR WEEKS AND THEN TYING HER HAIR FOR HER??????? OR WHEN SUMMER ASKS HIM TO STAY LOIKE THAT WILL ALWAYS GET MY HEART PALPITATING OR THE FACT THAT HE DOESNT EVEN LIKE PEACHES BUT IS SAUR OBSESSED W HER OEACH SCENT THAT HE GOES N BUYS PEACH HANDSOAP???? OR WHEN SUNMER SAYS HES MISSING THE VIEW WHEN THEYRE ON TOP OF THE FERRIS AND HES JUST LOOKING AT HER SMILING AND SAYING HES NOT??????? R U KIDDIN ME)

also the lil tidbits of desi things loike aiden learning how to make chai n talking about oiling hair :’) yea that warmed my lil desi heart 
not a perf five stars tho bc i think the book was a lil long which i wouldnt have minded if some of the plot was explored more (like the whole prof/donny bc it was just over so quickly i was like ??? or even just exploring the research more)

it was good but again like last book i just wasnt as invested conpared to tristanmorana and danteamara (my beloveds fr) 

ok i first rated it 4 stars but looking back now i kinda did nawt like it as much and dont rly like the mmc 

kinda disappointing bc the series started off so strong for me but i think its bc we rly got to see so much more of tristan/morana/dante/amara and the other four characters were then just thrown in these last two books and tho i dont hate or dislike them im just not as invested in them so idrc idk maybe the last book will change everything (idgaf about dain at all tho)
