I really liked the way this book was written. It allows the reader to see the events following a tragedy slowly develop into the main focus that is a deranged mother's desire to keep her son with her. What I find most appealing is the chapters are of differing perspectives of all the main characters. The ending had my jaw drop but the last chapter actually made me saddened to the plight of the characters who suffered quite an injustice on behalf of one someone you can't tell if you should feel bad for or despise.
