This giant book is truly worth the time spent at the library, or at the coffee table. It offers a unique and compelling window into the diaries and notebooks of some of the most iconic figures in history. From Goya's bts sketches to Jarman's inspiration sources, and Charles Darwin's observation notes , this book reveals some of the intimate thoughts of these remarkable people. We see how each of them used their notebooks in different and personal ways. If you’re interested in other people’s busniess, or a fan of memoirs, you’ll love this one.

As a fan of illustration books, I believe that good illustrations should be able to speak for themselves without the need for detailed verbal explanations. The purpose of these books is to provide inspiration and joy of flipping through its pages, and this book serves that purpose perfectly.

I mean…. It sits pretty on the table and features pretty illustrations that are  funny.

I devoured this book in one sitting!

The chapters are short and super easy to read, making it the perfect remedy to my reading or drawing slump. Although the advice is somewhat vague ,or somewhat like common sense , the key message is still clear : show your work!!!.

While the book doesn't offer a solid step-by-step guide, so it may be not everyone’s cup of tea; it serves as a great reminder to still share my work and connect with others, regardless of its quality and completion status.
