This is probably among the best books I’ve ever read. The characters were complex and despite their issues so completely loveable. I found it fascinating how each experienced their loss differently, but in the end it was their love for Nicky that brought them together again. I also thoroughly enjoy Coco Mellors writing style, she just manages to compose the most beautiful atmosphere and her ability to describe places and feelings is remarkable.
I was speechless (and cried a little) after reading the last pages.

Wow, this was a devastating and moving story. The characters were well written, complex and everyone kind of had their own struggles. It was gut-wrenching to read about all the police violence , and  the cruelty Starr had to face, because people didn’t believe her
especially her so called best friend Hailey
. I think it’s important that many people hear stories as this one, specifically in times like these were racist parties gain more and more popularity among the youth.
Very happy, that this book was part of my curriculum!

This was the most vile and disgusting book I’ve ever read. I don’t understand how people can say that they enjoyed reading this.

I liked it, but I wish the end would’ve been different. Not the outcome of it, but the way in which it was told.

This is the first and probably the last time I'll say this, but I think the movie might be better than the book. It didn't really convey the message of this whole spiel and the writing style didn't catch me. But the story itself was quite nice.

The best thing I've read on Wattpad yet, which does not mean anything tho. It's not that good. The main character is kind of relatable at times, but the writing style is a bit annoying and just too much ,iykwim, which caused me to skim read some of it. Additionally it just gets boring in the last few chapters (at least the ones on wp, I did not bother to read the rest available on Inkitt). If I had spent real money on it, I would've be madly disappointed, but it was free so ig that's the quality I get.

An easy read and I enjoyed some of the plot twists, but I wasn't really investigated nor did I care for most of the characters.

It was a bit slow in the beginning, but once the pace picked up I really enjoyed it. The epilogue was soo unnecessary though and I dare say the story would have been better without it.
