Let’s not dead name and misgender your character as a cute punchline under the guise of gender identity and acceptance. I get it. I run into the same problem with people who knew someone close to me by a different name and gender. I correct them. But this was not done well.

This reads like a high school essay written by an edgy teen trying to piss off their teacher at their Christian private school.

There were some excellent points, but ultimately this book just wasn’t it. No cited sources but a note at the very end saying, “hey, go here where I have compiled all my sources.”  That’s just lazy. If you are going to write a book where you cite stats and make arguments that are not rooted in common knowledge, the source needs to be provided in the book and not be part of some scavenger hunt.

This really needs to be revised to be more inclusive. However, it does give some pretty solid sex ed.
