Forced Proximity

I devoured this book! It was so good. I loved the story and the heartache. I am usually on the fence with pingpongjng timelines, I don’t usually like them. But I understand they are a great way to paint a story, to provide the background of a relationship. And Devney Perry, Miss Ma’am sure did that.

Indya has been visiting Crazy Mountain Cattle Resort for years slowly falling in love with West. Throughout the years, they only had a few days to spend with each other, they both relished them. But life and circumstances prevented any solid relationships that would go past their few chase days together.

Years later, Indya is back to change everything.

This has been on my TBR for so long!
I’m glad that I finally read it because I’m a sucker for a good sports romance and fake relationship trope!

Soren is such a good book boyfriend, I was literally swooning over how sweet he is! And Vi? She’s such a bad ass.

I really enjoyed this book. Pretty fast paced and no third act break up. And the issue surrounding Vi, I totally didn’t guess correctly on who was behind it so that was a fun little surprise.

“Maybe that’s not how love works. Nobody’s keeping score. I love you because I do. Because of who you were, and who you are now. Because something deep inside me is connected to something deep inside you. And whatever that is, I think it’s worth fighting for.”

“The thing about pain, whether it’s physical or not, it demands our attention. A lot of the time that’s as it should be. We move our hand away from a flame to avoid being burned, or we treat an injury so our body can heal. But when that pain doesn’t go away, and it’s not something we can easily fix, it starts to dominate our life. Add in a hefty dose of anger, especially anger at things you can’t change, and it’s easy to forget how to feel anything else.”
