At the end of this book, its twists and turns swirling around and making the road straight again, I found I felt itchy and lonely and a bit sick to my stomach. The writing is superb and there’s such a lyrical and amazing voice that the author brings out for each three of the characters, but they are people human and flawed. I read for escapism and despite the excellent writing, at the end, I felt creeping and crawling things in my stomach and did not feel that it did had such a good ending after all. For me, at least.
Though one could look and just see humanity in all of its strange forms, especially the teenage form, I am always one for fairytales. But. I like them to end light, with a bit of fluff, and some sparkly fairy dust.
This is not a book for me, but it is one that I will pass on and I know others will enjoy immensely and have already done so already.
