What exactly was the point of this story?
Honestly I couldn’t even finish because of 2 reasons : 1. this book is TERRIBLE for my mental health
2. It’s essentially torture/depression porn
Literally nothing ever gets better. The main character suffers in terrible ways that the author makes it seem unavoidable but it’s so unrealistic to me.
after reading some of her interviews I decided I’m not finishing this book. I read half of it and after looking at spoilers I reckon this book could be halved as there’s so much repetitive content. Glad I didn’t finish it because from what I’ve seen it’s just the same graphic torture and misery.
Don’t read it if you value your mental health especially if you have some past trauma.
If you enjoy reading graphic torture, misery and depression then I guess this book is perfect for you.
