Carlos was one of my favorite characters from The Wedding Date, so I was already primed to like this book as soon as I found out it was about him. He and his sister come to the rescue of Nik, who was subjected to an unwanted public marriage proposal at Dodger Stadium. Once again, Jasmine Guillory creates entertaining supporting characters for both of the leads, and has both entertaining and emotionally moving subplots throughout the book. I liked this even more than the first book, both for the characters and I think the author did a nice job at giving it a realistic LA vibe. Also, I'd love to go to a gym like the one in the book!

I've spent a fair amount of time at skating rinks, both skating and as the parent of a skater (though I never hung out with skate moms), so many elements of this story rang very true to me. I saw this at the library, started reading it in the parking lot, and got home as fast as I could to finish reading it. Amazing book and I predict great things for the author.

Fun, sexy, heartfelt, and enjoyable. The descriptions of the family cooking will make you hungry for Vietnamese food!

This was so good! Murder, private detective, twins, and a magical school all added up to a book that left me breathless at the end. After I finished it, I wanted to start it all over again and see what I had missed. I'll definitely be looking for the author's other books!

So many fun throwaway lines and just purely delightful. At first it was too much and I could only read a couple of chapters at a time, then I got sucked in to the story and couldn't stop reading. I love these characters and can't wait to read the next book.

An epic bromance between a civil servant and an emperor

I love this series and the characters so much. This book wraps up some plot points, but there are plenty more to explore. I guffawed, I cried, I threw my hands in the air at certain events.

Fluffy and entertaining, but ultimately a lot of it felt unrealistic. I found the previous books much more compelling.
