Once again Na Yoonhee has changed my life with an extraordinary emotion-rich story that captures human nature and life’s tragedies so well. She writes with such realism that even through the most upsetting of scenes you can’t help but be in awe and understanding. I also feel like her artstyle has somehow improved?! I did not think this was even possible, I mean Na Yoonhee has ALWAYS been among the greatest of artists and webtoon creators I’ve ever encountered!
I want to get down on my knees in front of this author and thank her for not only continuing to exist but continuing to SHARE the art of her existence with us.
Na Yoonhee, you are incredible. There are not enough words in any language for me to fully express how incredible you truly are. I already can’t wait for the next time you completely OBLITERATE my heart with another story. 😭❤️‍🩹

A Romeo & Juliet retelling with no death, no third act break up, the one bed trope, and letter writing? It’s a modern-day fairytale!

Ted and Savi are absolute angels and this book gave me toothache with all its sweetness! It’s been such an honour and delight to follow these wonderful characters in their wonderful love story. I absolutely adore the side characters too and I’m already looking forward to the next book!

Step aside Shakespeare. We don’t need your tragedies when Nuhaa Bardien is serving us these happy endings. <3

Phenomenal for her time! Oh Miss Woolf, I wish you were alive today to see what women have done. You would be so proud to see how we thrive and fight and create DESPITE the patriarchy’s ever-enduring dominion.  Thank you for championing women in your witty, sarcastic and introspective way. 🤍

this one's for the twilight kids who are now all grown up! (me) 🧛‍♀️🐺❤

what to expect:
- vampire x werewolf
- marriage of convenience
- politics of the supernatural
- found family

daughter of the vampyre councilman meets dangerous alpha werewolf in a forced marriage meant to broker an alliance between the supernatural factions. while the interspecies love is not a new concept, this specific take puts a refreshing twist on a well-told tale!

Ali Hazelwood is known for her STEMinists romcoms, so I was intrigued when I saw her releasing a fantasy 👀 but this book is so quintessentially Hazelwood! she somehow managed to werewolves and vampires SCIENTIFICALLY POSSIBLE??? like there's a whole rational biological explanation for these beings existing in this world and I love that!! the lore and worldbuilding is a mix of science and fantasy, which was my favourite part of this book!!!

okay, no, maybe the characters were my favourite part 🥺
MISERY LARK AND LOVE MORELAND YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART ❤

I really enjoyed this book, some parts more than others. I must confess, some parts were strange and confusing to me 🙈 I realised this was my first time reading non-human 🌶 ! I'm not really a smut reader, so don't ask me to comment on it 😅

overall a good read with great tension, great character-building, great dialogue, and HILARIOUS POWERFUL CONFIDENT SNARKY BADASS MAIN CHARACTER (MISERY, I LOVE YOU DESPITE YOUR WEIRD NAME AND PEANUT BUTTER ADDICTION AND THE FACT THAT YOU SLEEP IN THE CLOSET INSTEAD OF IN A BED (it's a "vampyre thing" apparently))

one thing I *did not like* was the third act break up scene.... not sure why these scenes are so crucial to romance books because sometimes it just doesn't work for me...

nevertheless, I would actually like a book 2 featuring the potentially new couple that was hinted at towards the end! 🤭

This may just be one of the best stories I have EVER read. I am so overwhelmed with such intense emotions after dedicating these past few days to a fictional world so complex and so beautiful :')

I loved...
• the wide range of characters each so well-fleshed out with their own individual pasts and secrets and goals and personalities.
• how ALL the characters develop SO WELL. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! This author deserves an award for excellent character development.
• each and every character as if they are my own flesh and blood. I know I'm talking about the characters a lot, but !!!!! just read this webtoon and you'll understand !!!!! they have my HEART and my SOUL and my LIFE !!!!!! <3
• the truly layered narrative rooted in love, harmony, compassion, friendship, forgiveness, breaking, healing, and self-developement. Lots of really meaningful themes!!
• the cliffhangers that have you grappling up the cliff to the next episode ASAP!
• the beautiful artwork & design. A pretty aesthetic is always a bonus!

My only issues were with the translation errors :( It could get a bit confusing sometimes (especially with pronouns). I think this story would be PERFECT with some reviewing + correction!

I love this story so much and I'm not ready to say farewell to it (even after 199 episodes) *cries* ... I kinda want to see this story adapted onto screen but I know that the webtoon format is the BEST medium for this story. I don't think an onscreen adaption would be able to do it justice. The complexity of the storyline and character development and emotions is just so well suited for webtoon.

Bari reminds me a little of Naruto, but softer, and he is my son now (even if he is a 1000+ year old imoogi turned dragon). I want to climb into this webtoon to live with him and the rest of the gang in this silly lovely tragic beautiful world. WHAT DO I DO WITH MY LIFE NOW THAT I'M DONE READING THIS????!!!!!!!!

What a great read! I read this book as part of a readalong and it was such an interesting and engaging experience. The idea of weaving Southeast Asian folklore into a story about the working world is both unique and exciting. The use of dual mediums - novel-like chapters juxtaposed with comic strips - only adds to the story's ambience. The way the creators mix Malaysian, Indonesian, Filipino, Thai, Chinese and other Asian mythical creatures into world of beautiful coexistence is nothing short of BRILLIANT. This little book, a graphic novel of sorts, manages to combine a sharp critique of capitalism, a comprehensive study of how different work suits different people, and a unifying celebration of the diversity of Asian myth into one entertaining and thought-provoking tale.
