Got to be honest, I liked this one less than the previous three.
Reading the Foreword I kind of understand why, but in particular it was because of the just...lack of space? Like we spent the majority of the book with Arthur and Fenchurch's relationship and there wasn't as much one-line comedy or worldbuilding.
I am intrigued as to where Douglas will go with the series in the last book, because the series was essentially wrapped up at the end of the fourth book.
Also...where the hell were Zaphod and Trillian? Like there was a short throwaway line about them having had a baby or something, but I felt like they deserved more.
However, because this was apparently the first book Douglas wrote I understand why, maybe he didn't have an idea of how important Zaphod and Trillian would have been when he wrote it?
Oh well, we'll see about next book. I liked Marvin and Ford of course, and Wacko the Sane was hilarious.

My poor baby Marko, his dad died :(
This girl is kind of a slay not going to lie
It's a bit weird that Gwendolyn wants to kill Marko, but she's kinda hot and a badass so I'm willing to overlook it /hj
I feel for this author guy so much, what happened with his son and his morality
Also, I'm really glad Izabel is okay, but I knew she was still .... alive?? .... because Hazel is okay and they have a bond :)

I’m sorry Izabel was … banished(?) by Hazel’s grandparents!?? How dare
I am kinda loving Vox’s (IV) sass
The Will sold himself to me after helping that little girl
I absolutely adore Marko’s sense of wonder and pacifism and Alana just gives me Vi from Arcane vibes <3

As always Marvin is my favourite.
The comedy was so funny as usual.
Trillian slayed the day.
(Also I’m convinced Arthur and Ford would be together if the books were written now) 😂😝

I thought this book was beautiful as an autistic non-binary individual myself. I have never gone through anything similar to what Sam went through, but they were just so relatable for me in a way I rarely see. Plus all the side characters like the Dad, Mr Quach, Sky, and Aidan were so cute. (The only reason I don’t include Shep in that is because she was definitely a main character in my eyes 😍). Shep and Sam were everything!!!
