THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A YA FANATSY THAT DOES NOT NEED YOUR TYPICAL AND CORNY CLICHES, YET STILL RETAIN THE CORE ASPECTS OF YOUNG ADULTS. Great execution of both plot and characters, it feet so long since I have read such a satisfying ya.
Also, East-Asian myths and folklores are so rich that the european/medieval settings feel kind of bland now :3

Got me out of my reading slump, so yay. I really loved the last trilogy of this author, so had some expectations regarding her new one. Been a while since I have not snapped at the ya protagonist for longing for love, instead I understood her (?! who am I @_@). Plotline, characters were okay-ish, interesting enough to want to continue.
I still want her to end up with mordred :3

The writing was extravagant and beautiful. Liked some of them others seemed a bit bland. She did the dark and horror aspects of the known fairytales quite well

Well that was disappointing -_-
For a novella to feel that long with how pointless it seemed at the end, was such a waste
