Makes you think about being an outsider. The ending wasn't my favourite but I still highly recommended this book.

It's rare that a book of sort stories keeps digging in your thoughts for longer than a week. Some of these concepts keep popping up unwillingly in my brain and that's a good thing.

I liked the idea of this book, but the end made it dip for me below a 3. The main character is not very mature, but she also doesn't develop much other than going overboard out of almost nowhere. The writer leaves several events unfinished, like a sailing trip the starts and doesn't continue for some reason. There's loads of adjectives which gets boring and annoying real soon. The academic parts also seem to float between everything. In the end, the book could've been cleaned up a lot to have more solid storyline, but it felt like it tried to be too many things at once. As a result, the book lost a lot of impact on me as a reader and made me roll my eyes at the forced plot twists at the end.

TL:DR; probably should've read the secret history by Donna Tart.

An inspiring and fun read. Just a blast. The references are a joy, the pacing is high. A fantastic way to get into sci-fi.

This was my first Margeret Atwood and I'm excited to read more. She's a master in describing the thoughts we all have but don't say out loud, the everyday thoughts. Her writing is also funny, reflective and she's able to pull everything into our current }
