Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

I got this book at my local library book sale for like $2 and didn’t bother to open it before hand. So when I finally cracked it open when I got home I was surprised buy the fact that it was poetry style writing. I’m very dyslexic so I was thrilled to say the lest
But anyways, I read this book in like a day I think and I absolutely loved the story. It’s been a while since I’ve read it but I remember just feeling so connected and appreciative of the main character and all she was going through.
I absolutely loved this book. The writing was hard to follow sometimes but I believe he did that on purpose to show how Aza’s brain works. But I felt truly seen by her, I have the same thoughts and weird compulsions so I understood her. But over all I really enjoyed this book. Now it’s time to watch the movie :))
Ok so I read the first book and over all, I genuinely enjoyed that one. But this one was a little… bleh. It wasn’t necessarily bad or anything but nothing about it made me wanna keep reading it. It felt like it was dragging on for a while in the middle and the climax at the end wasn’t that big of a thing. I think it literally lasted 3 chapters. Again, the book it’s bad it’s more just boring. The first one it way better and I would recommend just reading the first one, this one answers like maybe 2 questions beyond the Grimrose girls book.

While I think this book is generally really good, it was hard for me to get through because if the 30-60 page chapters. But I did like the format, I just wish they had more multi chapter stories like “the long walk” story line instead of 5 long single stories.
I really enjoyed this book. There’s 3 sections and the first is slow I will say that, but once u get to part 2 it really starts to get into the mystery of it all. Over I’d say it’s a very good book if you enjoy the Grimm brother fairytales and anything to do with murder mystery “you did it” story’s.
I started this book a while ago and gave up but I tried to give it another chance a few weeks ago. I generally enjoyed all the parts about Kay and her friends and the whole dynamic, but the fairy-knight-dude I just couldn’t take. It was not only cheesy to me but just really cringe and hard to read. Once they started describing and taking to the other two fairy people (spike and lulu or something) it felt so off to me. If this was a book about a weird girl living in a shitty town with a bunch of trashy and mean people I would love it, but the fairy element felt like a different story entirely. Like it didn’t belong with everything else the author was writing about. The writing itself though was good, I have no qualms with that. The fairy part of the plot just wasn’t for me
Also, the fairy-knight-dude literally THREW HER TO THE GROUND AND KISSED HER HIPS in a violent manner and we’re supposed to root for them to be a couple? (I’m generally assuming he was supposed to be the love interest but I could be wrong) HELL NO!

I’ve never read a book faster in my life. Something about the story and the way each of the girls are so different made me want to keep reading. The way the author describes the magic and the rooms/town/setting of the story is so beautifully painted. I love the mystery of the story and how the girls slowly discover who and what they really are. Plus the twist towards the (somewhat) end! Brilliant. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good fantasy with some drama and girl power <3

I absolutely loved this book. I enjoyed the take from a character type that’s not really seen or read about very often (a bisexual autistic boy). The twist of who did it (I don’t spoil it lol) was truly a mind fuck to me. And it is a conversation that needs to be had. Over the writing was really good and I enjoyed all the characters. Definitely give this a try if you like “you done it” type of story’s and enjoy different kinds of representations.
